Workplace Hazardous Materials Information

Objectives

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the safe handling, use, and communication of hazardous materials in the workplace. Module 3: Recognition and Identification of Hazardous Materials

  • Develop techniques for the recognition and identification of hazardous materials.

Module 4: Interpretation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

  • Foster understanding and interpretation skills regarding Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Day 2:

  • Communicate guidelines for the proper labelling of hazardous materials.

Module 6: Hazard Assessment and Control

  • Cultivate skills in the assessment and control of workplace hazards.
  • Implement strategies for comprehensive hazard management.

Module 7: Cultivating a Safer Work Environment

  • Emphasize the importance of individual and collective contributions to fostering a safe work environment.
  • Utilize case studies to illustrate successful hazard management practices.

Module 8: WHMIS Compliance and Best Practices

Cancellation & Transfer

Please note that should this registration be cancelled fourteen (14) days before the day of the training, a 50% cancellation charge will be imposed. If cancellation is made seven (7) days before the training, full payment of the training will be levied. Please note that amendments can only be made to the above arrangement by giving a minimum of three (3) working days’ notice. Additionally, a 30% upfront payment is required via Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) or bank transfer.
