Objectives 

This intensive two-day programme is designed to equip both established and emerging leaders with the foundational mindsets, trust-building skills, and personal resilience required to lead high-performing, innovative, and psychologically safe teams. By front-loading concepts such as safety and growth, participants are better prepared to address practical leadership challenges related to accountability and communication, transforming theoretical knowledge into immediate, actionable leadership behaviours.

Day 1 – Building Trust, Mindset & Strategic Dialogue 

Module 1: What Is Leadership 

  • Evolution of leadership: from command-and-control to influence and coaching
  • Defining modern leadership: vision, values, and vulnerability 
  • Leader’s role in driving culture and engagement 

Module 2: Psychological Safety – The Foundation of Trust 

  • Understanding psychological safety (Fearless Organization – Amy Edmondson)
  • Link between safety, innovation, and team performance 
  • Four stages of psychological safety: learner, contributor, challenger, inclusion

Module 3: Growth vs Fixed Mindset 

  • Fixed vs growth mindset (Dr. Carol Dweck’s research) 
  • Reframing failure and the power of “yet” 
  • Strategies to foster a growth mindset in others 

Day 2 – Accountability, Performance & Sustained Endurance

Module 4: Four Levels of Communication & Engagement 

  • Power of listening: active, empathic, and strategic listening 
  • Communicating for clarity using the four levels of communication
  • Feedback using the Johari Window 

Module 5: Mastering Accountability for Success 

  • CLEAR goals framework (Collaborative, Limited, Empowering, Actionable, Results-Oriented) 
  • Accountability ladder: ownership versus blame 
  • Holding others accountable with respect and empathy (Crucial Conversations framework) 
  • Closing the loop through follow-up and recognition 

Module 6: Resilience 

  • Understanding the resilience loop (Predict, Prepare, Respond, Adapt)
  • Managing leadership fatigue and personal energy 
  • Developing personal resilience strategies 
  • Building team resilience through collaboration and support

Cancellation & Transfer

Please note that should this registration be cancelled fourteen (14) days before the day of the training, a 50% cancellation charge will be imposed. If cancellation is made seven (7) days before the training, full payment of the training will be levied. Please note that amendments can only be made to the above arrangement by giving a minimum of three (3) working days’ notice. Additionally, a 30% upfront payment is required via Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) or bank transfer.
